"Intricate Oceans: Coral in Contemporary Art"
Opening June 5, this exhibition of 18 women artists deals with the theme of our planet's distress. Featuring the work of artists near or in DC (including Lisa Tubach), the show also includes Maya Lin, Marie Watt, and Jenny Holzer. The exhibition was curated by Virginia Shore and Sarah Tanguy.
In Feb. 2025, this exhibition page disappeared, presumably because the Meridian Center receives considerable funding from the US Dept. of State, and the new Presidential mandates have included the removal of pages/information related to climate change, environmentalism, etc.
Invited to participate in "Nocturne," a group exhibition juried by Susanna Coffey. July 28-August 26, 2023.
To my surprise and delight, I was listed as one of the artists of "Inspiration" for this award, sponsored by the Caudan Arts Centre in Mauritius.
